Abstract
- The article reports on PGA Champion Phil Mickelson who is expected to defeat Tiger Woods in the next PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson is in the midst of a game--and life--evolution. Dave Pelz, short game guru, wanted Mickelson to prepare for Augusta National. According to Pelz, he just showed Phil things mathematicall, and, most importantly, he stressed the importance of not being surprised at majors by the actual course. Phil saw the benefit in that, and the proof is in the result. Phil finished first, second, third and fifth in all the events for which practice has been done in advance. Before this year's Masters, Mickelson and Pelz once again toured Augusta National to break down the course and Mickelson's shot selections.
