Abstract
- The article reports that U.S.-based Clearwire Corp. has confirmed its support for the development and implementation of WiMAX system. The company took in a $600 million investment from Intel and a $300 million from Motorola. It also made a separate deal to sell its network equipment vendor subsidiary, NextNetWireless, to Motorola, which will evolve the firm's gear to adapt to WiMAX standards.
