Abstract
- The article discusses the growth in bank interest in children and teen customers. Banks are now offering savings accounts geared towards very young children, mutual funds, prepaid cards, and teen checking accounts. Companies, such as Citigroup Inc., Visa USA Inc., and Merrill Lynch & Co., have also developed money management curricula for children. The timing of these new products for kids coincides with an increasing struggle for young adults to manage their own money.
