Abstract

The article presents the clinical case of a 16-year-old woman with an acute onset of both lower extremity paralysis. A neurologic examination revealed the impaired sensation and decreased motor power in both lower extremities and grade in both upper extremities. Also, the initial laboratory findings revealed that she had hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis, hypomagnesemia, and hypocalciuria.
