Abstract
- The article presents a study of Thomas Boller and fellows in the U.S. that clarify the contribution of pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMP) to disease resistance, and how PAMP trigger resistance in plants. Boller and his co-member have investigated the role of plant flagellin in bacterial resistance. They examine and pre-treated Arabidopsis thaliana leaves with flg22 peptide and FLS2, a toll-like receptor that detect flagellin. The study shows that PAMP trigger plants resistance.
