Abstract
- The article presents information on the Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree and Doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D) in the U.S. Universities. At colleges that offer both degrees, the Ph.D program is for budding academics and Ed.D is for practitioners and aspiring superintendents. However the trend is of concern to educators. They believe that market pressures are leading some universities to create convenient programs for their candidates.
