Abstract
- The article profiles Janice Gross Stein, a Canadian educator, author and political scientist. Stein was born Janice Gross in Montreal, Canada on April 16, 1943. She founded the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto in Ontario and was awarded with the Molson Prize by the Canada Council for the Arts for her outstanding lifetime contribution to the cultural and intellectual life of Canada. She had written, co-written, or edited 20 books which includes "Psychology and Deterrence: Choosing to Cooperate," and "How States Avoid Loss: The Cult of Efficiency."
