Abstract: The article presents an interview with Al Roker, television program host of NBC and Food Network. When asked about his thoughts on the National Association of Black Journalists Convention and its Hall of Fame induction, he says that it is important to support the event and he is honored to host the event. Roker said that some of his television news heroes at Jim Vance, Sue Simmons, Bob Teague and Bill McCreary. Roker offers his views on how television news departments promote diversity.
