Abstract: The article presents updates on key veterinary issues in Great Britain. Some products are being investigated by veterinarians which could enhance fly control including chemical solutions which prevent maturation of flies. There is progress in summer calving in Swindon, England but with a high incidence of post-calving nutritional problems. Losses among livestock at the Lake District are caused by diseases carried and passed on by ticks.
