Response to My Critics.

The article presents the author's response to the reflections of her book "Whole World on Fire: Organizations, Knowledge, & Nuclear Weapons Devastation," by sociologists Renee Anspach, Hugh Gusterson and Thomas Hughes. Referring to Anspach's review paper she comments on the contradicting areas of that paper. Commenting on Gusterson's critique she states that it was her judgment that the high-level political direction was lacking in the details of damage calculations in the nuclear war plans of the U.S. military.
