Abstract

This article talks about the poor test results in Australia. Students were unable to identify grammar constructs and spell words correctly. Australian schools have been blamed for the lack of effort to teach grammar as part of the curriculum, which has led to poor literacy rates. Overall, though, the tests reflected high scores in reading and writing.
