Within the issues considered, these publications focused an special interest at the women issues. The corpus considered some editions of two most important publications –Tópicos Shell, El Farol– y were analyzed with the lexical and actantial analytical schemes developed by Molero de Cabeza (1985, 1998) and Franco (1998). The analysis permitted us to observe how the foreign oil companies –in the context of the venezuelan modernization– contributed to sexual socialization through the reinforce of values associated to specific sexual mythology that emphasize wife-lover and mother images in the context of fem-ism of the considered decades.
