Abstract
- Abstract: A novel 3-D inorganic open-framework containing unusual heptanuclear quasi-supertetrahedra, Cd7I12S·3H2O (1), was obtained by hydrothermal reaction and structurally characterized. Optical absorption spectrum reveals that the presence of an optical gap of 2.26eV, indicating that compound 1 is a semiconductor. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
