Abstract: The article presents the author's views on the study "Genes, Tribes, and African History," by Scott MacEachern, which has been published within the issue. MacEachern discussed various issues related to human genetics. The author stresses the efforts made by biological anthropologists to explain the relations between biological and ethnic groupings. He appreciates the research work done by MacEachern. However, he also points out some problems in the study.
