Preparation and characterization of single-crystalline gallium oxide nanobelts

Abstract: Single-crystalline β-Ga2O3 nanobelts were synthesized by a simple physical evaporation method in argon atmosphere with the starting materials of Ga. The β-Ga2O3 nanobelts have a width of 50–100nm and width-to-thickness ratios of 5–10, and length of up to a few millimeters, which may have potential applications in nanosize sensors or optoelectronic nanodevices.
