In the title compound, C18H17N3O4, the mol­ecule has a trans configuration; the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 34.4 (1)°. The mol­ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers with edge-fused [ R21(6)][ R22(10)][ R21(6)] rings by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and these dimers are linked by C—H⋯O weak inter­actions into a ribbon along [101].
