Abstract

The article reports that U.S.-based MacNaughton Inc. has introduced a new three dimensional (3-D) display technology that can be reproduced on 19-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) screens for scientific visualization and medical diagnostics. Its new LCD display technology uses two LCDs thereby enabling viewers to watch with passive polarized glasses. McNaughton claims that its display provides an image that is just as bright and high-contrast as in 3-D digital cinema.
