Abstract

In this paper, we theoretically and experimentally study the generation of very high-repetition-rate pulse sources based on multiple four-wave mixing in optical fibers. More precisely, we described the generation of nearly transform-limited pulses at repetition rates of 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640 GHz, and 1 THz with a wavelength tunability close to 20 nm around 1555 nm. In particular, frequency resolved optical gating analyses show that 170-fs transform-limited pulses have been generated at 1 THz. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
