Abstract: The article reports on the reorganization of the Australian Vice-chancellors' Committee (AVCC). The group will be reshaped into a new company with a new governing board and management structure. This plan stemmed from Group of Eight research-intensive universities who complained that their interests were not being represented adequately by the AVCC.
