E. Power Biggs in Mozart Country Part 4.

The article presents the highlights of the European travels of classical organist E. Power Biggs. He was impressed by the baroque splendor of the Ottobeuren church in Germany which provides a perfect acoustical setting. He also had an opportunity to examine a 1948 Steinmeyer at the church of St. Georg in Nördlingen. Biggs was taken to a small monastery wherein he was introduced to the seven-rank organ liegende Orgel.
