Abstract
- This article discusses record labels, such as Epic Records, and the steps that they take to ensure that a band or performer reaches number one on the music charts and remains a competitive act. The article explains that patience in the industry pays off, that there is never a guarantee of a follow up success, and discusses the ultimate payoff. The success of the band the Fray is used as an example to demonstrate the steps of Epic Records.
