Abstract
- The article reports on the decision of French aircraft company Airbus to locate its first civil aviation aircraft assembly at the Binhai New Area in Tianjin, China. The advantages of the Airbus decision include the possibility that Tianjin would become a launching pad for getting the Chinese airline industry off the ground. It also provides China the competitive edge in terms of navigation, telecommunication and metal manufacturing.
