In the polymeric title compound, {[Cu(C10H7NO5)(C5H5N)]·H2O} n, the Cu atom adopts square-based pyramidal coordination involving the tridentate N, O, O′-chelated dianionic ligand, a pyridine N atom and an apical, bridging, carboxyl­ate O atom from an adjacent ligand.
