Abstract: The section presents an overview of articles which focus on animal agriculture in North America. Cross-cutting issues that will affect the future of animal agriculture in North America were discussed. The consumer demand and related forces driving changes in animal agriculture were addressed. The role of animal welfare issues in wealthy countries were also considered.
