Abstract: The article analyzes a research on the use of the Swedish Interactive Threshold algorithm (SITA) short wave-length automated perimetry (SWAP) for the diagnosis of glaucoma. According to the researchers, the diagnostic sensitivity of standard automated perimetry using the SITA is as effective as two SWAP programs. The article also discusses the performance standard of the device and perimetric diagnostic sensitivty.
