- The article highlights the top media stories related to business and finance in Australia for the week ending November 16, 2006. Based on media coverage, the interest rate rise was the biggest news of the week. The interest rate issue was followed by the Telstra sale and Westpac chief executive officer David Morgan's call for an end to the government's policy banning mergers among the big four banks.
