This article offers a look at the investigation of the death of the Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, who ingested the radioactive substance polonium 210. German authorities have announced the beginning of a criminal investigation of Dmitri V. Kovtun, a Russian businessman who met with Litvinenko in London on November 1, 2006.
