Abstract
- The article reports that thirty-two American students were named as Rhodes scholars in November 2006. The award covers all expenses for two or three years of study at the University of Oxford, in England. Six of the students were from Harvard University, with four from Yale University and three from Stanford University. Winners are chosen on the basis of criteria set down in the will of Cecil Rhodes, the British-born South African businessman, diamond-mining magnate, and colonizer of Rhodesia (now the states of Zambia and Zimbabwe).
