Abstract
- The article features the family-owned Fearn Farm in Ross-shire, Scotland. The farm has returned to a home-grown feed ration with the autumn-calvers indoors on silage and bruised barley and heifers outside on a bigger ration. The farm runs a total of 110 suckler cows and a 900 ewe commercial flock. One of the permanent employees of the farm is flock manager Steve Lewis.
