This article discusses the challenges facing career center professionals in collaborating with faculty and provides strategies on how to overcome these challenges. Differences in priorities, perceptions and culture are the main barriers to a collaborative relationship between career professionals and faculty. To create effective relationship, career professionals are encourage to take inventory of the key players in the campus and to align its goals and priorities with the schools.
