Abstract

The structure of the title compound, [ZnCl2(H2O)2]·C12H24O6·H2O, contains the Zn atom with tetrahedral geometry and two coordinated water molecules linked to two 18-crown-6 macrocycles (residing on inversion centres) by O—H⋯O interactions. A water molecule of crystallization further links the metal salt and one of the crown ether macrocycles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
