Abstract: The article presents information on various developments in the world of video games in 2006. The World of Warcraft became the best online game and got more than 7 million paying subscribers. Nintendo Co. Ltd. brought revolution in the game world with its Nintendo Wii which attracted masses of all age groups. Microsoft Corp. introduced Xbox 360, a console that became very popular among kids and its game, Gears of War, performed well beyond the expectations of the company.
