Hiram Handspring.

This article reproduces documents contained in a file maintained by American publisher James Laughlin. The papers contained in the folder represent notes and illustrations Laughlin made to illustrate the life of a fictional character he had invented, whom he called Hiram Handspring. There are pictures of persons reported to be the mother and grandmother of Handspring, as well as an illustration depicting Handspring in his childhood.
