Abstract

Reports on the construction of superconducting reluctance motors with YBCO bulk material with testing up to more than 10 kilowatts. Operation in liquid nitrogen at 77 degrees Kelvin at different frequencies and loads; Small size and low weight of such motors as important advantages for special applications.
