Abstract
- The article discusses the U.S. Air Force's search in 2007 for a replacement of its aging fleet of KC-135 Stratotankers, close to 50% of which are in the Air National Guard. Air Force officials are set to release a final request for proposals for a new-era air refueling tanker in January 2007. The replacement of the aging KC-135s has become a top priority of the Air Force.
