Abstract

The article focuses on the use of nutritional intervention to prepare the immune system of pigs in order to deal with the porcine circovirus-associated disease (PCVAD) challenge in the pig industry in the U.S. It is stated that pigs which are diagnosed with PCVAD can be immunologically impaired, so a water soluble vitamin C has been suggested as a water suspension. It was also found in the research that boar fertility increases when diets of the pigs were supplemented with the vitamin.
