Abstract
- The article discusses the progress of the stock market in China. The impact of improvements in the Shanghai Composite Index during the second half of 2006 on securities trading departments is addressed. The benefits of the improvements to listed companies are discussed. Meanwhile, the topics discussed in the China and World Economic Development Report 2007 issued by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences are cited including macroeconomic development and gross domestic product.
