Abstract

Diffusion of diethyl ether into a reaction mixture of zinc salts, crown ether and calcium chloride in tetra­hydro­furan (THF) led to the title compound, [Ca(C12H24O6)(H2O)3][ZnCl4]. The cation is linked to the anion via O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
