Abstract
- The article focuses on the utilization of Novell Inc. and Microsoft Corp. in providing Linux for Wal-Mart's internal computing and Website operations. Both companies are expected to deliver Novell's SUSE Linux EnterpriseServers for Wal-Mart's data center. Linux will be used as a platform to connect other systems such as Windows. The company expected that Linux deployment lessens costs through commodity servers without sacrificing performance.
