Abstract

The article presents information on the location and identification of archival sources related to child welfare. Child welfare includes protection, care and healthy development of children by means of human services and social welfare programs. The sources of archival material include general histories of social welfare, documentary histories, annotated bibliographies, directories of archival and manuscript collections, journal articles, oral histories, specialized archives, individual social agencies, and historical societies, abstracts, indexes, reference guides, and electronic services.
