- The article discusses e-mail messages revealing that White House senior advisor Karl Rove and U.S. Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales considered a proposal to dismiss U.S. attorneys earlier than either of them had previously acknowledged. White House press secretary Tony Snow acknowledged that the e-mails moved back the timeline to a time previous to what the White House had stated.
