Abstract

The article reports on the decision of Sony to expand its BRAVIA sub brand beyond large-screen liquid crystal display (LCD) televisions (TV) to include a range of high-performance products from microdisplay rear-projection sets to front projectors and home-theater-in-a-box systems. The company plans to use the sub brand across all new 2007 Sony TV displays going forward. Sony also decided not to introduce any new 2007 models of cathode ray tube TV sets. The company's product lines will be expanded in the 1,080 category.
