Eliminating Racial/Ethnic Disparities In Health Care: Can Health Plans Generate Reports?

The article describes a project being supported by the Commonwealth Fund and the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to create a report card to assess quality at the health plan level for members of the various racial/ethnic minority groups. The project aims to determine if health plans can obtain data on members' race/ethnicity through one or more possible methods and whether those data can be used to produce reports on quality of care stratified by race/ethnicity.
