Abstract

The author discusses a little-known castle in Ireland. A brief historical overview of the Castle Roche is given. It is reported that it was built by the Normans decades after the invasion in 1169 AD. Other sites that are nearby to the castle are also listed, such as Newgrange and Mellifont Abbey. A recommendation for nearby accommodations is given.
