Abstract

The article presents information on intellectual-property theft (IP theft) in China. It is stated that though intellectual-property theft is a common phenomenon in this nation, it will not affect the business process of multinational chip designers and manufacturers, since they have safeguards to prevent IP theft. Chipnuts Technology Inc. is using isolated servers, through which engineers gain access to designs. Microsoft Corp. is the most important victim of IP theft in China.
