Abstract
- Metallurgical aspects of the development of new magnesium alloys for the production of transmission parts and assemblies with the use of sand mold casting, chill casting, and high-pressure die casting are considered. The approach suggested has been used for creating new alloys with elevated creep resistance. The properties of the alloys are presented and compared with the properties of known commercial magnesium alloys. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
