Abstract
- Chapter 11 of the book "Pathogenic Mycobacteria in Water: A Guide to Public Health Consequences, Monitoring and Management" is presented. It highlights the three basic mechanisms which govern the occurrence of pathogenic microorganisms in treated drinking-water. It also explores the methods of removal of mycobacteria by water treatment process. It further discusses the control, treatment and disinfection of Mycobacterium avium complex in drinking water.
