Abstract

The article reports on the comments published in the "Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine" about healthcare in Great Britain. The paper suggested that healthcare in the nation is being undermined by poor nursing education, standards and an over-reliance on technicians and minimally educated healthcare assistants. The comments were from Linda Shields, professor of nursing at the University of Hull, and Roger Watson, professor of nursing at the University of Sheffield.
