Abstract: The article offers news briefs on occupational health and safety in Great Britain. The Health and Safety Executive warned employers about the need to train staff on the proper use of machinery after a worker in Wales was paralysed. According to the Health and Safety Commission, accidents and injuries in the paper industry have declined. A National Health Service trust has been fined after elderly William Durrant fell and died during a visit to Springfield Hospital in London, England.
