Abstract: This article reviews the coverage on the Virginia Tech murders committed by Cho Seung-Hui, a student at the school. The author criticizes the media for continuing to use value neutral terms like 'shooter' and 'shooting spree' instead of more accurate terms such as 'murderer' and 'killer.' He feels this is indicative of a unwillingness to pass judgement.
